What VideoNotepad stores

VideoNotepad stores the email identifier needed for your account and the notes you choose to save, including the YouTube video ID, video title, timestamp, note text, and creation or update time. Saved notes are associated with your VideoNotepad account so they can follow you across devices.

YouTube search and playback

VideoNotepad uses YouTube API Services. When you submit a video search, the search words are sent through VideoNotepad to the YouTube Data API so matching public videos can be returned. VideoNotepad does not intentionally save search queries or search results in its notes database, although limited technical request information may be retained temporarily in security and diagnostic logs.

Videos play in the standard YouTube embedded player. Google and YouTube may place or recognize cookies, collect device and playback information, and provide content or advertising under their own policies. VideoNotepad never receives your YouTube password, Google login credentials, or YouTube Premium status.

Service providers

VideoNotepad uses service providers for email authentication, database storage, hosting, security, and delivery. They process only the information needed to provide those services and are subject to their own security and privacy obligations.

Your controls and retention

Notes remain available until you delete them. You can delete an individual note or an entire video notebook from within VideoNotepad. Search results are not added to your library unless you choose a video and save a note. To request removal of remaining account-linked data, contact the person or organization that provided your VideoNotepad access so the request can be verified.

This notice may change as VideoNotepad adds learning features or service providers. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
